A highly regarded African cultural activist, arts manager/administrator, Andre was the Managing Director of the Southern African Music Rights Organization (SAMRO). He is the founder of the SAMRO Foundation, IKS Cultural Consulting and the Concerts SA project. He has served on a number of boards on South African arts and culture as well as across the African diaspora landscape.

Andre is a distinguished figure in the realm of South African jazz and cultural activism. As the Chairperson of the World Jazz Network and Managing Director of IKS, Andre is a prominent advocate for the promotion and development of South African jazz and broader African cultural initiatives.

His influential career includes a notable tenure as the Managing Director of the SAMRO Foundation, where he played a crucial role in shaping the landscape of music rights and royalties in the region. In collaboration with SAMRO & the Norwegian Embassy in South Africa, Andre and his team at the time was able to bring to life Concerts SA. The Concerts SA project has been supporting live music for over 10 years. 

Andre is also Ambassador of the African Culture Fund – ACF his experience and commitment make him a highly regarded arts manager and administrator, furthering the impact of African cultural expression on a global stage.
